Exciting 12-Month Contract Opportunity!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Board-certified physician with proficiency in Pathology services.
  • Provide competent and qualified physician services during business hours (Monday through Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm), ensuring coverage as required by patient care needs and regulations.
  • Ensure timely patient care delivery and adherence to clinic wait time and consultation completion standards.
  • Implement and maintain appropriate scheduling practices, including handling alternate shifts subject to approval.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address obstacles impacting service performance and patient care delivery.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities and attend staff meetings as required.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and perform clinical duties during specified business hours, meeting or exceeding applicable standards and guidelines.
  • Supervise and educate health professions trainees in compliance with accreditation agency directives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and supervise trainee progress.
  • Collaborate with facility committees and participate in continuous quality improvement meetings.
  • Implement mechanisms for effective communication of test results to providers and patients.
  • Adhere to standards of care, medication policies, and discharge education protocols.
  • Document and report patient safety incidents promptly and accurately, following procedures.

Preferred Experience and Attributes:

  • 1+ Years’ experience as a Board-certified physician with proficiency in Pathology services.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and educating health professions trainees.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, HIPAA, and related standards.
  • Strong organizational skills with effective scheduling management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for coordination of care and engagement with facility staff.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and adhering to clinical excellence standards.
  • Capability to work collaboratively and adapt to dynamic scheduling requirements.
