About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Acquisition PM SME to join our team at Military GPS User Equipment (MGUE) Increment 2 Miniature Serial Interface ( MSI) /Joint Modernized Handheld (JMHH) Acquisition Operations. The successful candidate will be critical in supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition process, ensuring alignment with the MGUE Inc. 2 program objectives and broader strategic priorities. This position requires deep expertise in DoD acquisition, contracting, funding processes, and knowledge management platforms to drive efficient workflows and provide actionable recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Messaging Development: Leverage extensive DoD acquisition expertise to craft targeted and effective messaging that aligns MGUE Inc. 2 program objectives with overarching strategic priorities.
- Contracting and Funding Support: Provide informed feedback and recommendations on high-level acquisition funding and contracting tasks, utilizing a strong understanding of DoD contracting and funding processes.
- Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement improved workflows, applications, and automations using knowledge management platforms such as SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Jira, or similar tools to reduce administrative burden and enhance operational efficiency.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure acquisition strategies are aligned with program goals and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline acquisition operations and implement best practices to support program success.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Extensive experience in DoD acquisition processes, with a nuanced understanding of aligning program objectives with strategic priorities.
- Proven track record in developing effective messaging for DoD acquisition programs.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD contracting and funding processes, including providing strategic recommendations.
- Hands-on experience leveraging knowledge management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Jira) to develop workflows, applications, or automations.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex acquisition and funding challenges.
- Excellent communication skills to develop clear, targeted messaging for diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in process optimization and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Public Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., DAWIA Level III, PMP) preferred.
Clearance:
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the MGUE Inc. 2 program or similar DoD modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with advanced automation tools or scripting for workflow optimization.
- Prior experience in a consulting or advisory role supporting DoD clients.
