Wireless Network Engineer

Exciting long-term contract with a great company.

Must be a US citizen and able to pass a CJIS background check.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Cisco enterprise wireless solutions to ensure optimal performance and coverage.
  • Migrate infrastructure to new anchor controllers, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Support the onboarding of new offices by establishing and configuring wireless networks.
  • Configure new Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) in AWS and migrate existing devices to the new DNAC platform.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot wireless network issues, providing timely resolution and support.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine checks on network performance, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of new wireless solutions with existing infrastructure.
  • Document network configurations, changes, and performance metrics for compliance and reference.
  • Provide user support for connectivity issues, including training and resources on wireless network usage.
  • Stay current with Cisco technologies and best practices in wireless networking.

Preferred Experience and Attributes:

  • Proven experience in designing and managing Cisco enterprise wireless networks.
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco DNA Center, anchor controllers, and AWS configurations.
  • Familiarity with network security practices and protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex network issues.
  • Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and end-users.
